The Global Fund for Jesus (GFFJ) was born out of the mandate given directly to the Chairman, Prof Sipho Mseleku, in a vision whilst on a tour of the holy land in Jerusalem, on 15 November 2007. In the early hours of the morning in a vision he saw a cloud of light and from it came a voice which said: “Arise, set up a global fund for Jesus.” Global Fund for Jesus was emphasised three times, to signify the importance of the spiritual mandate of the assignment.
GFFJ was established with its God-given mandate, to do what Jesus Christ would do if he were physically among us. He would take care of the poor, vulnerable, afflicted, sick, oppressed and all those that are affected by all forms of oppression. With a bold and God-inspired vision to be the largest Fund on the face of the Planet, GFFJ was launched on the 18th November 2010, in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa.
GFFJ aims to invest in high-impact projects in all developing countries and where necessary it will partner with existing organisations to execute its mandate. It is designed to help the least fortunate by demonstrating the love of God for all people around the world, especially the underprivileged. The Fund is intended to provide a channel for God’s people to emulate Jesus in extending a helping hand to the needy. GFFJ is underpinned by Godly values of love and compassion. Furthermore, it aspires to empower and reveal God’s purpose for humanity through capacity building and promoting equitable access to opportunities.
How do we fulfil the GFFJ mandate? The Global Business Roundtable’s (GBR) international network will be the platform to empower members for the benefit of GFFJ by igniting the hearts of volunteers and GFFJ ambassadors from around the world to contribute to the empowerment of others. Some of the envisioned projects include infrastructure development such as building schools, clinics, hospitals, old age homes, orphanages, and entrepreneurship centres.
We invite people to partner with us by giving cash donations, property, land, farms, shares in their companies, and encourage those who wish to bequeath a portion of their estate to the Fund.
